crabulous Crabcakes are Aldi winners!
We’ve done it – our little New Forest fishcake business has won Aldi The Next Big Thing!
We thought we did well to beat hundreds of food and drink producers just to appear on the Channel 4 show. We never dreamed of winning it. But our fabulous Crabulous Crabcakes have won and will be on the shelves in Aldi by the end of the week.
This is the most exciting thing to happen to us and is by far the biggest order we’ve ever had to fulfill!
We’re passionate about what we do and have always believed in our ethos of making fantastically tasty, zero waste, sustainable products.
Now, the giant that is Aldi, believes in us too.
Our Crabulous Crabcakes are going to be stocked in more than 900 Aldi stores across the UK – a once in a lifetime opportunity!
Loaded with brown crab meat, the cakes also include leeks, a smattering of chilli, fresh parsley and lemon juice. It was the incredible flavour, attractive packaging and our sustainability credentials that impressed the judges, including presenters Anita Rani and Chris Bavin.
These crabcakes, made especially for Aldi, join our other favourite fishcakes, including the Wightcakes, the Bollywood and Smokey Bill Fishcakes. All of which you can buy from our shop.
